Vimla Rao
AfternoonVimlaRao is a Fijian whose ancestors hailed from UP India. She has made Australia her home since 1985. Although Vimla’s dream was to become a medical practitioner, she found her true calling as a caregiver. After 21 years as a Physics technical officer in Fiji and Australia her journey in Bowen therapy began in 2005. Through Bowen therapy she has made a difference to people’s lives in Australia and abroad. She has no regrets of not being able to graduate as a medical professional.
Her spiritual journey brought her in contact with Ram Sharnam, a spiritual centre in Delhi. After that experience she considers herself as a blissful soul. She brings with her a wealth of love for all, without exception. Her multilingual ability is an asset to teaching in Australia, India and Fiji.
Bowen Therapy
Everybody is better with Bowen!
Using minimal touches, a practitioner makes gentle, precise, Bowen moves over tendons, muscles, and nerve bundles. These Bowen moves help to bring the body into balance, thereby promoting healing and well-being. The body, in response, elicits deep, healing responses within the body on many different levels – physical, chemical, emotional, mental, energetic and spiritual. People of all ages respond to Bowen work according to what their bodies need in order to heal. The very subtle moves of Bowen Therapy facilitate bodies own innate healing capabilities by shifting the body focus from “fight, flight and freeze” mode to “rest, relax and repair” mode.
Besides chronic illnesses, Bowen Therapy can also assist in recovery from traumatic and emotional injuries. However, the healing depends upon willingness for each individual’s body to heal itself.
