Geshe Dorji Dambul

Geshe Dorji Damdul is an eminent scholar of Buddhist studies, who was appointed as the official translator to H.H. the Dalai Lama in 2005. Prior to 2005, he spent nearly 15 years studying Buddhist philosophy. In March 2011, while assigned as the official translator for H.H. the Dalai Lama, he was also appointed as the Director of the Tibet House, Cultural Center in New Delhi.

As the official translator to H.H. the Dalai Lama, he has been closely involved in numerous book projects involving H.H. the Dalai Lama, either as an editor or author. In addition, he has edited a text book on Buddhist Science and Philosophy and is also the editor of the Dreloma Magazine and “Lhaksam Tsekpa” – a journal of comparative studies. He is currently writing two books, one titled “Journey into the Paradox of Brain and Mind” and the other “What Constitutes the Ultimate Reality: The Effects of Understanding the Ultimate Reality.”

As a renowned scholar he has been a visiting fellow and lecturer in well-known universities like Emroy and Delhi University and also attended many national and international conferences on Buddhist philosophy, psychology, logic and practice in the USA, U.K., and Singapore. He also regularly lectures at the Tibet House in Delhi.
