Gurmeet Rai

GURMEET RAI is an award-winning first generation conservation architect. In Punjab, she has worked on the conservation of sites such as the Gobindgarh Fort, Rambagh Palace Garden, the Summer Palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the Town Hall and the Office of District Magistrate designed by Bhai Ram Singh. Among other projects, her recent works have been in preparing the conservation plan for the Old Parliament building in Delhi, preparing of conservation and urban regeneration plans for heritage precincts and industrial heritage in the Kashmir valley anchored in the protection of cultural and natural heritage and enhancement of livelihoods for local communities.She continues to be an advisor to several national and international bi lateral and multilateral agencies.
