While the Morning and Evening Music will be free and open to all, a specially curated and magical ‘Delegate Experience’, spread over 2 and a half days, with languid afternoon discourses on poetry, heritage walks across important sites, and the partaking of Amritsar’s incomparable cuisine, will be the Festival’s hallmarks.

Heritage Walks

The composite culture and secular heritage of Amritsar is a focal point of the Sikh faith and a pivot of Punjabi identity and polity. This mesmerising city is known as the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of the Punjab, the land of five rivers. Amritsar, literally a ‘Pool of Nectar’, derives its name from Amrit Sarovar, the holy tank that surrounds the magnificent Harimandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple. At the Festival, Delegates get a chance to experience this magnificent city and its heritage through a Heritage Walk that covers some of the most historically significant spots of Amritsar.

A specially-curated tour deep inside the lanes of the 400 years old city of Amritsar, this walk will unravel some of the gems from the architectural and traditional heritage of Amritsar’s diverse and multilayered past.

Amritsar is known for its delectable cuisine, from the appetising Amritsari Kulchas to the flavoursome combination of Sarso da Saag and Makki di Roti, the food of the city is popular throughout the world! From the Amritsari-Kulcha, and Naan and Fish to Lassi and Jalebis at Jalebiwala Chowk - the incredible food trail covers it all!
